PROJECT: 7 BED HOUSE // INTEGRATOR: FUNCTION CONTROL
BRIEF
A complete renovation of this late 18th century house was undertaken in 2015. The owner required complete building control system to increase energy efficiency and add state-of-the-art functionality.
SOLUTION
Function Control were approached to oversee the control aspects of the project and utilised KNX for the lighting control, heating control, remote monitoring and access control elements.
The project uses Gira Pushbutton Sensor 3 keypads to provide a crisp modern style as a striking combination with the original features retained throughout the property. Control of lighting, heating and other functions is possible via multi-functional keypads in each room, via a dedicated touchscreen in the kitchen and on iPad / iPhone devices.

RESULT
Working in period homes can be challenging due to installation limitations / complexities and possible conflicting design preferences of period / modern features and devices. With the flexibility the KNX platform provide all of the client’s requirements were fulfilled in one user-friendly system.
