PROJECT: HOUSE UPGRADE // INTEGRATOR: MK ICONIC

BRIEF

During the initial project consultation the end client advised MK Iconic of persistent issues keypad issues and it was clear a stable upgrade was essential. Main problem areas were conflicting control of halogen / LED fittings and confusing operation / usability of the current keypads.

SOLUTION

To fulfil requirements in both design and user-friendly operability, Ekinex 20-Venti keypads were selected. With their backlit icons, the 20-Venti keypad provided a clear display on functions along with an easy way to check current lighting statuses. To achieve stable lighting control, with the integration of LED fittings, new Gira actuators were added to the system for dimming and switching requirements, along with a Gira X1 server (+ Gira S1) for added visualisation and remote access. Furthermore, a complete panel rebuild was actioned for additional system stability and to provide added benefits in servicing and maintenance.

RESULT

Following the detailed work by MK Iconic the customer has since fallen in love with the system and no longer fears the keypads falling into the wall, there are plans to expand the system to the rest of the home!
