PROJECT: LUXURY APARTMENT // INTEGRATOR: FUNCTION CONTROL
BRIEF
Work on the renovation of this grand Edinburgh, New Town flat began in of summer of 2015 and was completed, on time and to budget, by spring 2016. Function Control Ltd were invited to design a comprehensive control system for this property and tasked to achieve matching designer finishes throughout for all switches, electrical accessories and door entry intercom, LED lighting scene control, zoned heating control (radiators and electric underfloor heating), blinds control, security system monitoring, iPad control of all functions and remote access to building functions.
SOLUTION
Function Control implemented KNX technology throughout to fulfil all functional requirements, with bespoke Gira finishes and electrical accessories were utilised to successfully meet the design brief.
The KNX enclosures, pre-configured and pre-tested in the Function Control workshop, were delivered to site and connected into the building wiring infrastructure. This process minimised the on-site installation time and allowed a fast evolution from building site to functioning home at the stage of a project when it most counted.

RESULT
