PROJECT: ARCHERFIELD // INTEGRATOR: IDES

Brief

The owners of this luxury new build at Archerfield wanted an integrated home automation system throughout the whole house including lighting, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), blinds and shutters. The aim was to provide an energy-saving system which afforded easy control.

No major obstacles connected with this project. Additional features and settings were added to suit preferred family living demands.

Solution

On this project, IDES specified deployed a KNX solution as their default building management solution for over 20 years.

Functional elements included lighting control (with switching, dimming, light scenes, timed control, automatic occupancy detection), blind and shutter control (with individual control, group and central control and automatic programs), heating, ventilation and air condition control (with central and automatic control, timed operation modes, automatic occupancy detection, individual room control / zone control, valve drive control / fan coil control, floor heating control, boiler and burner control), security and Safety (with interaction with HVAC and lighting)with a mixture of trusted Jung and Theben devices throughout.

The client and their designer were looking for a very contemporary switch design. To hit the brief, IDES recommended Ekinex which fulfilled both design and functional requirements perfectly.

In addition, multi-room audio, Automation and Remote Access and Energy Management/Smart Metering was also included in the project scope.
